We're seeking a visionary leader with a passion for planning andmanagement to fill the Unit Director role within our Infrastructure, Planning, Strategy and Programming Directorate.

What does aday in this job look like? Reporting to the General Manager Infrastructure and Assets you will be responsible for future proofing our cityinfrastructure and assets and executing infrastructure development outcomes inalignment with Council's strategies and plans.

You will lead a Directorate ofsenior technical specialists to plan and design future state infrastructure andwork closely with our regional and national partners to deliver successfuloutcomes for Hamilton Kirikiriroa.

Skills & experience we are looking for: A relevant tertiary qualification in strategic management/business management/asset management/procurement or related field.

A minimum of 10 years' experience with an emphasis on procurement/commercial management/asset management and/or strategy, business finance, process improvement) with at least 5 (five) years of senior leadership experience at a level of having significant responsibility for teams of highly technical experts.

Proven people leadership skills and experience at a senior level, demonstrates well developed leadership attributes including being effective in inspiring a shared vision, holding staff accountable for outcomes, enabling others to achieve, and developing high performance teams and individuals.

Experience in managing and developing high performing teams.
