The Visa Operations branch is accountable for high quality and timely visa decisions and effective management of visa processing.As the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for the delivery and leadership of a processing site. This includes visa processing delivery, continuous improvement, process optimisation, capacity/demand management and driving performance of visa product(s).
Ideally you will have experience in leading and managing customer service delivery functions or large-scale processing functions, with a passion for people and a commitment to developing as well as maintaining key networks & stakeholder relationships.
In this role you will:
- Work closely and provide support to the Operations Director to optimise visa processing delivery and drive performance within the processing site.
- Support the Operations Director with product development, market forecasting and planning and driving a continuous improvement focus their processing site and product(s)
- Assist Visa Directors with product leadership as well as influencing product improvements based on customer experience
- Provide management and people centred leadership for operations
- Build capability to drive operational performance to meet operational, environmental, strategic and Ministerial demands

- Experience in management of operations functions and/or business units, in a complex and/or global organisation
- Experience in developing and maintaining key networks and relationships with stakeholders, agencies, and in being able to navigate through complex political environments to promote the organisation
- Experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring others to achieve results and personal growth
- Experience in implementing quality processes and strategies designed to improve productivity and delivery of excellent customer service
- Bringing a broader perspective and horizon to build business leadership
