We are looking to recruit a driven Transport Planner into the Transport Advisory team in our Civil Infrastructure Business in Hamilton.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that has a great relationship and a great pipeline of work with key local and national clients.

Reporting to a Principal / Associate Director you will be working within a team in a collaborative and open office environment.


AECOM Hamilton, and our key clients, have an exciting pipeline of work providing opportunities to work on strategic city-shaping projects including a significant amount of public transport, walking and cycling infrastructure planning and design projects.


In this role you will be working on a wide range of transport modelling with a key component of working with interdisciplinary teams and providing high quality and innovative solutions to our clients.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:


This role is an opportunity to utilise your current knowledge and understanding of transport modelling including some experience using modelling software such as Aimsun and SIDRA.

As you will be undertaking data analysis, solid experience using Microsoft Excel will also be part of your current skill set.


  • 2+ years of experience in the field of transport planning or similar
  • Experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Understanding of theory and experience in Transport Modelling
  • Preferred but not mandatory working knowledge of Computeraided Design (CAD)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography or Transport planning
  • Master's Degree while not essential will be beneficial
