The vision is to help farmers address challenges around skilled labour shortages, farm productivity, profitability and environmental performance.

AIMER is focused on improving pasture intake, reducing pasture wastage and optimising supplement use through the fusion of AI and process based digital twins, generating unique insights, foresights and recommendations.

Ultimately AIMER will play a key catalyst role across multiple ecosystems in pasture-based markets that will lead to measurable livestock productivity gains in dairy and red meat.


Key insights to the role:

Joining the AIMER team based in Hamilton, you'll lead and shape the growth of the customer success and sales team, whilst working in close collaboration with the Founder/CTO and software development team.

Taking a global perspective on market opportunities, you'll lead the assessment and prioritisation of opportunities, ultimately developing strategies for revenue growth, national and international expansion.

Business development activities will be both strategic and tactical in nature – you'll acquire and manage key client relationships (new & existing); and work closely with the product & tech team to ensure product and market fit.

Travel across NZ and Australia, along with future business exploration travel to the US.

Financially savvy – you'll set financial targets, develop and monitor budgets as well as develop pricing structures, gaining a clear handle on how product is evolving, what the product roadmap is and what the future will be.

Presenting Aimer Farming as a world-class company through media and at industry and networking events, cementing strategic partnerships and relationships to drive growth.

Driving understanding of brand through various comms and digital marketing and social media initiatives Assisting and leading with preparation of capital raising presentations and working alongside the Board and management to gain commitment from potential investors.

Providing the Chairperson and Board of Directors with clear and timely reporting on business performance and progress against key milestones.

Ideal candidate An incredibly diverse and stimulating opportunity, you'll be entrepreneurial by nature, able to deal with ambiguity and adept at managing multiple priorities, zoning in on what's important for key deliverables.

Experience in a startup tech business with previous success in scaling or international expansion, including setting up products for new markets would be a real positive.

Recognised in the market as both a strategic and tactical commercial sales contributor and proven talent in developing company value, you'll be able to share your previous career achievements focused on company footprint expansion and verifiable commercial results.

A high percentage of your time will be spent in front of customers, understanding the value proposition and what the relationship needs to look like commercially – this is where you naturally excel.

You'll operate across all facets of the business; therefore, you'll have an innate ability to establish relationships quickly, collaborate, influence and ensure everyone is working together towards a common goal.

Understanding and supporting process around portfolio management to help manage the demand on R&D, for new feature enhancements, in conjunction with new channel partner opportunity, is vital.

Connection to the agricultural sector is a definite advantage, as is a genuine passion for new and emerging technology and knowledge of Saa S.

Having a grasp of the core principles involved in managing a communications programme for a software tech product, such as creating farmer stories, capturing sound bites, and devising strategies to engage customers – would be beneficial.
