About the Company:
PharmaNZ, is a proudly kiwi owned business, focused on a collaborative partner approach to contract manufacturing in New Zealand.
Producing over 500 tonnes of powder blend products, 10 million tablets, and 70 million hard-shell capsules annually, their Medsafe NZ, GMP certified Contract Manufacturing facility opened in March 2019 and has moved rapidly to full operation.
About the Role:
Due to staff progression, an opportunity has been created for a commercially astute Senior Operations Manager to unite, lead and develop, the Purchasing, Logistics and Warehousing teams during the next exciting phase of growth.
Reporting to the Company Directors in a 2IC capacity, you can expect to make an impact across the business from day one.
Your commercial experience and financial acumen will be appreciated by the leadership team, and your previous Operations Leadership experience in the Pharmaceutical or Nutraceutical sectors will be welcomed by your direct reports in the Production, Supply Chain, Engineering and Warehousing teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Continued development and implementation of strategic supply and procurement plans.
- Leading the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed Key Performance Indicators.
- Directing global supply chain functions through strategy and resource optimization whilst maximising profitability.
- Planning and managing activities related to the sourcing of materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand
- Directing warehouse operations including monitoring and correction of inventory levels
- Working closely with Production and Quality Departments to ensure supply chain needs are met and are GMP compliant.
- Regular Reporting on department KPIs supported by appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary.
- Support proper utilisation of ERP system and contribute to the scoping and implementation of a longterm ERP solution
- Champion the continuous learning and improvement environment so important to PharmaNZ and empower team members to develop to their best potential.
- A proven track record in the leadership of like teams within a GMP regulated Pharmaceutical or Nutraceutical organisation.
- Previous experience in international sourcing and negotiations
- A high level of critical thinking and 'out of the box' problem solving skills
- A genuine passion for people, superb people/relationship skills and high levels of diplomacy
- The ability to think strategically and negotiate effectively to achieve the best result for the company
- A thorough understanding of MPI, and Biosecurity is highly advantageous
