Within Grocery, we need the right people in place to strategically implement our business objectives and deliver growth through strong customer relationship management.

Right now, we need a Key Account Manager to join the team and do just that

The Role.

After an internal promotion we have an exciting opportunity reporting to the National Business Manager for Woolworths NZ, this role is all about the customer; you will be an integral member of our Grocery head office sales team.


Due to your experience you will be able to provide informative analysis and recommendations to both our business and the customer enabling both parties to reach their business goals.

The key for us is your abilities to lead our strategic business plan and to proactively suggest growth strategies.

You will then need to ensure that the field sales reps and managers are aligned with your vision and have the tools that they need for success.


What you will bring to the role?
Relationship, influencing skills and FMCG sales experience will be key to enable your success in this role.

You will have first rate business planning, category management skills and excellent negotiation and selling as you will need to successfully secure and execute promotional plans, negotiate supplier contracts, and conduct regular business reviews with your customer.

You will need to have spades of commercial acumen and a strong head for numbers and financial planning.

Finally, you'll need to be willing to get stuck into the detail while maintaining your focus on the big picture objectives.
