**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

To work within our health system at this time is a once in a lifetime chance to transform the way we deliver to Māori and address intergenerational health inequities. This role is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an energetic and experienced Executive Assistant to work with the directorate in setting up new processes for monitoring the delivery of health services to Māori across the whole health system.

This is a top tier business support role reporting directly to the Maiaka Aroturuki | DCE Monitoring. You will contribute to the overall leadership, performance, strategy and direction of Te Aka Aroturuki | the Monitoring directorate by providing professional executive support and advice. You will be a key face of the directorate, walking alongside your DCE to role model manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga and rangatiratanga. Your ability to strengthen relationships, influence and connect with others is pivotal to being successful.

The primary purpose of the role is to:

- Provide executive, business, administrative and secretarial support to the DCE
- Ensure high level inbox and diary management, dealing with dairy conflicts and prioritising workflow
- Coordinate, with other executive business support roles, to best support the wider leadership team
- Ensure the activities and operations of the DCE's office are managed effectively
- Co-ordinating all administrative and business support matters.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**

You will bring a kete of extensive knowledge and experiences, while holding the wisdom and mana associated with this kind of role. As an experienced business support professional, you will have an exemplary understanding of medium to large organisations, in addition to the legislative frameworks that effect the health sector.

You may be an experienced Senior Executive Assistant supporting a Group Manager, Director or Chief of level. Alternatively, you could have administration experience in governance, HR, legal secretarial, or a high performing public sector entity looking for a new challenge. Either way, we would love to hear from you - particularly if you meet the following requirements:

- Demonstrated experience in a medium to large complex organisation, or other government agency
- Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite with special emphasis on Outlook, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
- Excellent organisational skills along with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities and meet deadlines while preserving the highest levels of accuracy and confidentiality
- Be a great team player with a great sense of humour and aroha
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the capacity to manage relationships at all levels (including with senior officials and health sector leaders)
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in operational contexts
- Experience in successfully developing and maintaining a structured approach to managing a wide range of stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
- Willingness to personally take a stand for equity and anti-racism**.**
