Sales Opportunity Overview

The estimated salary for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in outside sales and business development within freight brokerage and managed transportation. A minimum of 5 years of experience is required, with a focus on expanding overall business through new customer acquisition and relationship management.

Job Description

As the Director of Enterprise Sales, you will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, cold-calling, closing deals, and building long-lasting customer relationships in a competitive industry. You will also engage with customers post-sale via account reviews and quarterly meetings to prove ROI, create new value, and work with Pricing Analysts and the Operations team to develop business solutions and long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand existing customer base and acquire new customers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target accounts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions and drive growth
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in outside sales and business development within freight brokerage and managed transportation (5+ years)
  • Experience with contractual business processes, regional and national accounts, and strong selling and closing capabilities
  • Advanced financial knowledge and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and negotiation abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience in temperature-controlled transportation, produce, and freight management software is preferred. Additionally, a college graduate and remote East Coast residence are desirable.
