About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Administrator to join our team on a Fixed Term basis. The successful candidate will provide frontline reception and administration support across Waitemata DHB, Te Matau a Maui, Hawke's Bay.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Covering for staff leave or supporting teams in times of increased workloads in a variety of areas across the hospital.
  • Providing administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Maintaining accurate records and databases.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, visitors, staff, and external stakeholders.

About You:

  • Naturally you will be able to recognise the needs, aims and aspirations of whanau from all culturally diverse groups within our community.
  • We are ideally looking for someone with several years' experience in a busy role.
  • You will also need the following key attributes and skills:
  1. Competent in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & Powerpoint) and related functions e.g. mail merge, plus computer savvy to learn the other software packages used.
  2. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people - internally and externally.
  3. Multi-tasking ability
  4. Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise your own workload, as well as work as part of the team.
  5. You will be required to deal sensitively and confidentially with all information and have a strong attention to detail.
