People and Capability (P&C) is part of the Corporate Group and is responsible for the development of people related strategies and plans that support the strategic aims and objectives of the Chief Ombudsman. Our role is to support the Office in fostering an environment that is happy, healthy, fair and encourages learning and development. Be part of a pivotal P&C team at the Office of the Ombudsman.

Mō te tūranga - About the role
As the Administrator People and Capability, you are a pivotal contact point in the People and Capability team. You will provide administration support across all People and Capability activities; this includes providing first level HR support to the Office; managing some of our HR systems and processes, helping coordinate P&C activities and ensuring accurate employee records and integrity of staff information. You will be someone with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail and some understanding of employment laws and regulations.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Administrator/Coordinator experience
- University degree or tertiary qualification in business or human resource management or related discipline; or the equivalent work experience, knowledge, skills and attributes required to be successful in this position
- Some experience of working with HR practices and processes, and providing advice and support to managers and staff
- A high degree of initiative, able to work autonomously, get on with the work and be a self-starter.
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Depending on skills and experience, the salary is expected to be between $48,882 to $66,702.
