**Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Role**

Our Corporate Services Directorate is seeking an experienced People and Capability Manager to lead our People and Capability team.

In this rewarding and challenging role, you will be responsible for delivering a full range of people and capability services including providing advice to our Senior Leadership Team, future focused initiatives, and projects, streamlining processes and implementing continuous improvement initiatives as part of the Corporate Services leadership team.

The role would see you building and maintaining exceptional stakeholder relationships with people leaders and working collaboratively with others on cross-functional initiatives.

You will have a history of providing thought leadership while challenging the status quo, successfully developed, and delivered organisation-wide people strategies based on evidence with a proven track record of partnering with teams to achieve results. This is a hands-on role, and you will be comfortable working in a changing environment and adapting solutions and communication to various working styles.
- A proven track record of successfully growing organisation capability and leadership within a changing environment.
- Experienced in managing a people and capability function where you have defined, developed, and delivered people strategies, initiatives, and systems.
- Be driven to achieve continuous improvement across the people and capability function by questioning the status quo and simplifying and streamlining processes.
- An understanding of the role of public service agencies and a commitment to the overall goals and objectives of the NZ Public Service.
- Understand best practice operating models that are streamlined and appropriate for the organisation.
- Pragmatic solution focussed approach based on well-developed perceptions and appropriate evidence.
- Managed a people and capability group within a public sector context.

You will be part of the Corporate Services function and supported to learn and succeed.
