The People and Capability Directorate


The People and Capability Directorate provides HR support for managers to our NZRC people, from onboarding to growing capability and all aspects of the HR life cycle.

While focusing primarily on supporting employees, it also works closely with the Membership and Volunteering Directorate and Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team to provide a consistent and positive employee experience for all our people.


People and Capability - Talent Acquisition Advisor


The Talent Acquisition Advisor is a key role that will support the delivery of a high quality, consistent and responsive level of end-to-end recruitment and selection service to key stakeholders through Assisting with liaising with internal clients on the scope and parameters of the recruitment assignment.


  • Assisting with the development of job briefs.
  • Developing and managing advertisements for vacancies.
  • Helping to determine the appropriate assessment tools for the selection process o Managing the interview process, including the development of interview questions and the coordination and management of interview panels.
  • Participation in interviews, where appropriate.
  • Reference checking.
  • Identifying improvements and efficiencies to the recruitment and selection process.

Permanent Fulltime Role

To be successful in the position, you will:

  • Provide input to ensure that teams consist of diverse, qualified individuals.
  • Maintain an overview of internal talent pipelines and contribute expert advice to succession planning with the organisation.
  • Source applicants through online channels, such as Seek, LinkedIn and other professional networks.
  • Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders.

Expectations from the role:

  • A tertiary degree in Human Resources and/or a related discipline; and/or.
  • 23 years' experience in a talent acquisition or similar role.
  • Experience in fullcycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
  • Strong administration and relationship skills.
  • Robust computer skills and knowledge, particularly with Microsoft Office, and other information technology.
