We're on the hunt for an outstanding **Library & Council Services Assistant** to join the vibrant and exciting Unique Experiences team on a one-year fixed-term role at Tāmaki Pātaka Kōrero - Auckland Central City Library Aside from the core library and council services related mahi at the library, the Unique Experiences team is responsible for developing and delivering high quality programming, activations and displays across the Central Hub.

We’re looking for someone that loves working in a vibrant place alongside our community, who is passionate about growing the services of the Central City Hub. You will need to be a great communicator and customer service whizz, providing excellent support and care for all who visit our hub.

**Here are some other key things we are looking for**:

- Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds
- Comfortable with technology and able to support customers to successfully use information resources and devices
- Willing to ‘muck-in’ with the delivery and development of programmes and events
- Flexibility and collaboration across all aspects of your mahi
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Knowledge/understanding of Te Ao Māori or willingness to learn.

The Library and Council Services position is mainly based at the Central City Library, as a key member of our frontline library teams. You will also occasionally work from our three other locations across the Hub including the Ellen Melville Centre, the Albert Park Caretaker’s Cottage and Te Wharekura. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something extraordinary - right in the heart of the city centre

This is a 30 hour per week role with one weekend day and one late night.
