**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**

Ngā Pātaka Kōrero o Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland Libraries) have a strong community focus and we are an extraordinary destination for the people of Auckland. Our Library & Council Services Assistants play a vital part within our library team ensuring that our libraries within the Ōrākei local board, provide a world-class customer experience that is second to none.

No two days are the same, you will greet and assist customers with a variety of queries from assisting customers to access library & council services, supporting with the delivery of programmes and events, digital troubleshooting, Wi-Fi, and general computer queries.

Many of our libraries are open 7 days a week so flexibility around working days, including weekends and late nights, is required. We are looking for 3 people for permanent part time opportunities at St Heliers Library. Hours available below:

- 1 x 22 hours per week
- 2 x 18 hours per week

For each of these positions you will be expected to work both Saturdays, Sundays and a weekday. These roles will have a strong focus on Children and Youth Services. These roles will require you to be flexible to work across all library services within the local board, which include Remuera Library, St Heliers Library, Community Broker and Orakei Community Centre.

- Be willing to help create a whānau environment where everyone works together to achieve team goals
- Enjoy working with people from diverse ethnicities and backgrounds
- Be a quick learner who would be able to assist people with technology queries
- Love working with tamariki and can assist with programmes
