**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**

An opportunity has arisen to work as a Library and Council Services Assistant in the Franklin Local Board. This is a permanent 22 hour per week position that includes weekend days and late nights.

Franklin Community Hub is based across two main sites: Pukekohe site - a fully integrated library and arts team (Franklin Arts Centre and Pukekohe Library); Waiuku site (Waiuku Library and Community Space).

We are seeking an individual to support our integrated mahi. In this customer-focused role, you will contribute to the day-to-day operations of our front-line services across all our spaces. Your active involvement will ensure that patrons have an exceptional visitor and customer experience.

Each day will bring a variety of tasks, from assisting customers with library services to handling council inquiries related to rates and dog registration, community programming, art exhibitions, digital troubleshooting, and providing general local information.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with people from all walks of life, tamariki, and rangatahi
- Confident with technology and able to support customers in successfully using information resources and devices
- Knowledge/understanding of Te Ao Māori or a willingness to learn
- Willingness to support the delivery of programs and events in the local board area
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work well under pressure
- A second language is very desirable but not necessary
