Nurse Maude is a well-known and highly regarded organisation, who have been providing healthcare services to the community for over 120 years. We have recently been contracted by the New Zealand Nursing Council to administer Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs), as part of the registration process for internationally qualified nurses.

Te Mahi/About the Position

The Business Administrator will play a key role in the centre, working closely with the Centre Manager on a range of tasks. Commencing in the month/s prior to the centre formally opening, the role requires a flexible individual who will evolve with the service.

In the first few months, this role will focus on recruitment support, and orientation as we establish our team, as well as ad-hoc tasks as the centre is fitted out and procedures are established.

The Business Administrator will form strong working relationships with wider support services, including HR, payroll, IT, accounts and our Quality team. The early months will also allow time to become an expert on the relevant systems, and to contribute to the development of processes and procedures.

Once the centre opens, key aspects of this role will include:

- Working collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Proactively managing the centre management system
- Supporting the Centre Manager with HR and payroll administrative tasks within the centre
- Developing and maintaining administrative systems and processes within the Centre
- Learning the operational requirements of the Centre, to support with trouble shooting
- Offering support and cover for other team members to ensure continued running of the Centre

To be successful in this role you will have:

- At least three years' recent administrative experience
- Experience with electronic client management, or booking systems
- Working knowledge of HR and payroll legislation and system
- A passion for learning and willingness to grow with the service
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
- A positive, friendly outlook
- A proven ability to adhere to protocols, standards and guidelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience and success working under pressure, well-developed problem solving and conceptual skills
- Experience working in the health
- Experience working in a start-up environment
