As Channel Manager, you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end strategy and executional plan within the Independent Route Retail channel (including Independent Dairy, Fruit & Vege and Fuel customers). This channel has high growth aspirations, with over 2,600 Independent Route Retail customers in the New Zealand market.
Your role will be to successfully create & implement strategies to grow the value of Goodman Fielder's existing customer base, while at the same time driving new customer acquisition through various strategic initiatives.
Along with being able to think strategically, this role also requires a ‘hands on' approach. First planning out the activities and promotions and then executing through the SPM process with all supporting information such as customer lists, collateral info, T&Cs etc.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Create and lead the development & implementation of the Independent Route Retail channel strategy
- Deliver against the following KPI's: volume, profit, distribution points and customer count
- Deliver incremental volume
- Create detailed and robust channel plans supported by effective activities, campaigns, and activations
- Develop customer campaigns for driving improved distribution and ROS
- Leverage various teams and resources to bring your channel plans to life; Field Sales, OTM, RFS Marketing (including digital platforms)
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales Managers and Marketing team to develop and implement effective sales campaigns
- Identify opportunities to make enhancements of systems and processes within our business that support the growth of this channel
- Demonstrate an understanding of GF's full P&L from revenue to EBIT

About You
- Proven experience in strategic planning and implementation
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to network and influence key stakeholders (internally and externally)
- An ability to deliver on continuous improvement within the business
- An understanding of Route Retail in NZ
- Minimum 5 years FMCG sales experience (national account level preferred)
