**Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Role**

Our Corporate Services Directorate is seeking an experienced Advisor to join our People and Capability team. We are open to considering either a Senior or Principal Advisor, appointment will be made dependant on the successful applicant's skills and experience.

In this rewarding and challenging role, you will be responsible for delivering a full range of people and capability services including advising, coaching, and supporting leaders, key stakeholders,

and our Senior Leadership Team.

This is a generalist People and Capability position, focusing on the entire employee life cycle such as:

- Advising, coaching, and supporting leaders and key stakeholders to drive positive people related outcomes.
- Managing, supporting, and driving professional development, employment relations, change management, recruitment, remuneration, retention, and benefit strategies.
- Contributing to workforce succession planning.
- Reviewing, developing, and maintaining relevant policies under direction of the Manager, People and Capability.
- Managing and maintaining Pharmac's relationship with the PSA and PSA Delegates.
- Managing risks and ensuring relevant and people-related legal and compliance aspects are met.

Are you ready to make a difference?

You will have a proven history of providing both operational and strategic support to leaders, ideally in a public service context. This is a hands-on role, and you will be comfortable working in a changing environment and adapting solutions and communication to various working styles.
- Experience in coaching and supporting leaders at a variety of different levels in their leadership journey.
- A proven track record of successfully growing organisation capability and leadership within a changing environment.
- A relevant tertiary qualification and extensive and comparable relevant experience.
- Experienced in delivering people strategies, initiatives, and systems.
- Understanding of te ao Māori and te Tiriti o Waitangi or display a willingness and commitment to learn.
- Be driven to achieve continuous improvement across the people and capability function by questioning the status quo and simplifying and streamlining processes.
- An understanding of the role of public service agencies and a commitment to the overall goals and objectives of the NZ Public Service.
- Understand best practice operating models that are streamlined and appropriate for the organisation.
- Employment relations management and dispute resolution experience.

You will be part of our small and high performing People and Capability team, within the Corporate Services function where you will be supported to learn, succeed, and have fun delivering meaningful work for all our people.
