Superstar Executive Assistant needed to make Deputy Director General (DDG) and Assistant Deputy Director General (ADDG) day's better.
We are looking for a team player who thrives on being busy, who enjoys providing timely, accurate information and advice as the master of our Deputy Director General's daily schedule and that of the Assistant Deputy Director General.
You will be a critical member of the Office of the Deputy Directors General (ODDG) working collaboratively across the business in support of our high functioning Policy and Trade Branch.
As the secretariat of the Policy and Trade Leadership Team (PTLT) you will be an excellent communicator and be an important point of contact.
You will also provide advice and guidance to our Executive Coordinator cohort on DDG and ADDG interactions as well as ODDG processes.

The role is busy and varied and no day is the same, so you will have the opportunity to showcase your exceptional communication skills, multi-tasking skills, organisational skills and knowledge of international travel in order to provide a ‘top notch' support to our business.

- Significant experience in using MS Office products, e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Experience in providing administrative support to managers and teams.
- Good knowledge and experience of designing and implementing administration and business support systems and processes.
- Experience of implementing electronic and physical records management.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- IT literate with ability to learn and use new ITC systems
- Prioritisation, planning and work management skills in a fast-paced environment - all based on understanding the key priorities of the business.
- Good general organisational planning skills an ability to multi-task
- Strong team player and with exceptional interpersonal skills

Mō tō mātou Rōpū - About the Team
Policy & Trade provides sector-wide strategic thinking as well as policy and trade advice and analysis to the organisation and Ministers. We oversee government-to-government relationships to maximise export opportunities focussing on sustainable economic growth, resource management, rural communities and the contribution of the food and fibre sector to the economic performance and well-being of New Zealand. The Branch is responsible for maintaining a large suite of legislation and regulations. It also provides advice on international agreements, industry structure and performance, food safety, animal welfare, biosecurity, forestry, fishing, resource management and climate change.
The Office of the Deputy Director General team, work across the business to facilitate the running of the branch's governance and information flow systems, coordinating between DDG / ADDG, senior leaders and the branch.
