About the Role: This role is based in Canterbury.
Reporting into the CEO, the Head of Sales is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), responsible for leadership of the group sales team, along with oversight and delivery of the group sales strategy.
This role directly impacts the financial success of the company through its ability to secure new business, retain and grow existing customers, drive revenue and strategically set the course for growth.
The Head of Sales is a strategic leader who assists in developing and executing the strategic plans for the business across a number of brands, helping to positively influence culture and building a customer-centric outlook across the business.
Specific responsibilities include: Achieve revenue targets for key areas while supporting achievements of wider group financial targets.
Lead the development and implementation of strategic business development initiatives across the group Provide strategic clarity and ensure sales success through sales force effectiveness disciplines, and leadership.
Develop and maintain key strategic commercial relationships with both customers and key suppliers.
In conjunction with the CFO and CEO, own and execute commercial pricing strategy and structure.
Lead complex high-profile sales and tender negotiations.
Contribute to annual budget process and drive the right behaviours across the organisation to ensure achievement.
Manage and coach sales team members to strengthen sales pipeline activities and close sales deals.
Undertake account management and business development activities in existing, new and emerging markets.
Development of lead management, account management and business development processes, in conjunction with relevant parties.
Lead the regular Customer Engagement review process.
About You: Proven sales leader, mentor and engaged team player with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills at all levels.
A customer and employee centric executive who is obsessed with delivering exceptional experiences for these key stakeholders Track record of being a valued member of a senior leadership team, who can be a trusted advisor to a CEO / MD Prior experience of sales accountability and revenue growth in a growth business that has scaled revenue and operations, ideally with sales experience across multiple brands Experience leading and developing a high-performing team of sales professionals Strong commercial acumen, has owned a P&L and understands the key drivers of profitability and commercial contract management and negotiation Experience in utilisation and driving adoption of CRM systems, with a mindset of systems and process improvement.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, particularly within a fast-changing environment.
