Regional Disability Advisor - Waikato

About the Role

As a Regional Disability Advisor, you'll provide specialist advice and expertise to frontline staff on queries relating to the impact of a disability or health conditions on employment.

You will assess clients' eligibility for benefits on medical grounds and their potential work options and propose solutions to returning to appropriate employment within their capacity.

You'll also provide advice on appropriate disability support services and interventions to enable our clients to resume, retain or gain paid employment.

A significant portion of this role involves effectively engaging with health practitioners, community and the health and disability sector to find capability and capacity-based solutions.

This role is part of a network of Regional Health and Disability Advisors that are supported by Principal Advisors located in National Office.
