The AUT Taupua Waiora Māori Research Centre conducts high quality research, learning and teaching informed by Kaupapa Māori and mātauranga Māori to enhance the mana and health of Māori, and strengthen whakapapa ties of whānau, hapū, iwi, hapori, and with te taiao.

We aim to improve understanding of health and social issues that can improve access to health and social services and promote positive health and wellbeing among whānau Māori in Aotearoa.

The AUT Taupua Waiora Māori Research Centre is seeking to appoint a Research Officer | Research Fellow (0.6 FTE for 18-months fixed term) to work on an HRC funded research project: _Kei roto tō tatou rongoā - A community
- whānau-based approach for wellbeing_

This role will involve:

  • Project management of the research
  • Organising and maintaining stakeholder engagement and setting up wānanga and interviews
  • Liaise with the research team members and set up regular team and kaitiaki rōpū hui
  • Assist in drafting manuscripts

Salary Bands:

Research Officer:
$84,985 to $90,001 pro-rated

Research Fellow:
$74,039 to $87,459 pro-rated
