We are looking for a Territory Sales Manager to support our retail customers (i.e. New World, 4 Square, Pak n Save, etc.) across the Taranaki and Whanganui based either New Plymouth or Whanganui.
Our Opportunity

The TSM is primarily responsible for the sales execution and results within their territory with an emphasis on effective servicing of all customers and identification and maximisation of opportunities.

They will maintain an awareness of customer and company needs and actively work towards building mutually beneficial relationships. The TSM will also effectively utilize resources, as well as working with our distribution network within the assigned region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maximise sales through promotional programmes and Marketing activity ensuring customers are advised of all activity in a timely manner
  • In conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager, set engagement scheduling for BAU and promotional activities
  • Negotiate financial terms and agree ranging of NPD within business case
  • Achieve core ranging targets as set for territory
  • Provide product and service advice
  • Ensure point of sale is of high standard
  • Develop and maintain efficient and effective customer call cycle
  • Carry out regular performance reviews with key customers in conjunction with Sales Management

About You:

  • At least 3 years' experience as a sales rep preferably within grocery/FMCG
  • Computer literate
  • Intermediate Excel/Powerpoint user
  • Presentation and negotiation skills
  • Current drivers license
  • Customerfocussed attitude
  • Selfmotivation and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of food industry
  • Time management and planning skills
