Bookkeeping and Administration Professional

Sarsfield Brooke Ltd is a small business with a tight-knit team of 7 employees, including company directors who actively participate in the business. Our primary focus is on importing and wholesaling Italian furniture, and we are looking for a motivated individual to join our administration/bookkeeping team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of bookkeeping and basic accounting, as well as processing sales documentation and maintaining processes to support the sales team. This includes accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, weekly payroll, GST and FBT processing, general filing and record keeping, data entry of sales dockets, local purchase order creation, maintenance of Excel-based price books, and monthly business analysis reporting.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong time management and ability to work unsupervised
- Bookkeeping & basic accounting knowledge
- Competence in Excel coupled with attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Methodical & procedural
- Good written & verbal communication skills, and ability to build relationships with others
We offer a flexible working arrangement, with the opportunity to work up to 32 hours per week. For the right candidate, we may also consider expanding the role to full-time.
