Bookkeeper - Administration Control

We are a small company of 7 employees including the company directors, who both work actively in the business.Primary business focus:The Importing and Wholesaling of Italian furniture.We are looking for a motivated person to join our team, focusing on the administration / bookkeeping area.
As we are a small team, the successful candidate will need to have a flexible work attitude and be prepared to cover areas outside the direct job specification.This role covers a wide variety of areas, and we are fully committed to train & support the successful candidate, to expand their competencies.
The role consists of all aspects of bookkeeping and basic accounting, as well as processing sales documentation, and the maintenance of processes to support the sale team.Skills we are looking for:Strong time management and the ability to work un-supervised.Bookkeeping & basic accounting knowledge.We use MoneyWorks, but knowledge of this program is not essential, as training will be given, but the successful person must have a good understanding of other Cloud based accounting systems.Competence in Excel coupled with attention to detail.Strong work ethic.Methodical & procedural.Good written & verbal communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with others.Experience of 3-4 years in a similar role.Duties:Accounts Payable & ReceivableBank ReconciliationsWeekly Payroll (Smooth payroll system)GST & FBT processing & filingGeneral filing & record keepingData entry of sales docketsLocal purchase order creationMaintenance of Excel based price booksMonthly business analysis reportingWe anticipate this role will be 32 hours a week, with flexibility around the make-up of the hours worked.
