Your Role

Are you a results-driven sales professional looking to leave a lasting impression? Do you thrive in dynamic environments and have a talent for forging connections and driving sales growth?

In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in driving our growth strategy, focusing on expanding ZURU's presence within grocery stores across the North Island. You will develop strong relationships with store managers, optimize product placement, and execute sales tactics to propel revenue growth.

Sales and Relationship Building:
  • Nurture and maintain strong relationships with grocery store managers, buyers, and key decision-makers, particularly within Pak N Save locations.
  • Exceed sales targets by showcasing ZURU's product offerings and negotiating shelf space and promotional opportunities.
Insights, Store Visits, and Results:
  • Regularly visit stores across the North Island to solidify partnerships and assess in-store opportunities.
  • Optimize call cycles to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify new business prospects and expand product distribution into additional grocery stores.
  • Provide regular updates on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Keep accurate records of sales activities, call cycles, and customer feedback.
Execution and Optimization:
  • Ensure ZURU products are displayed prominently and in accordance with planograms.
  • Monitor stock levels in stores, suggest reorders, and prevent out-of-stock scenarios.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional activities and in-store campaigns.
Event and Trade Show Representation:
  • Represent ZURU at regional trade shows, industry events, and in-store promotional events as needed.
  • Set up displays and conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and store staff.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in field sales within the FMCG or grocery sector.
  • Strong understanding of the New Zealand grocery landscape, including Pak N Save + New World stores.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently on the road.
  • Valid New Zealand driver's license and ability to travel frequently across the North Island (Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga).
