service and the largest tertiary centre in the South Island. The service also
encompasses several other sites including Christchurch Women's, Burwood and
Ashburton hospitals. Our Radiology departments house state of the art equipment
and offers a variety of imaging including local, regional, general and
subspecialty work.
Mō te tūnga | About the role
We have exciting opportunities for Administrators that
support the Radiology Service. This position is ideal for someone who is a team
player, has a customer centric approach and enjoys improving processes. You
will be part of our Radiology team that is respectful, curious and supportive,
that promotes development and embraces on going changes.
In this role you will provide administrative
support, which includes front of house duties, patient bookings, communication
with the patients and their whānau as well as any other general admin that is
required. You will also be involved in managing relationships with internal and
external stakeholders.

- time, part-time and casual Monday to Friday, working 8 hours between
07:00am ' 5:00pm. On occasions weekend work may be offered.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner and

direct them to the appropriate area
- Provide administrative support to all staff within Radiology as
required
- Working within Radiology's IT systems
- General administrative and secretarial tasks, including managing
outpatient bookings, typing reports and letters, entering information onto
the patient management system, filing and answering telephones
- Record information accurately and maintain the integrity of the
database
- Observe all Te Whatu Ora [Health NZ] safe work procedures and

- Demonstrated perceptiveness and a proactive approach in an administrator

- Broad administrative experience in a health-related field
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with the public hospital system (including

the patient management system)
- Awareness
