Title: Desktop Engineer
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Ideally Christchurch based, however open to all regions

RHCNZ Medical Imaging, comprising of Pacific Radiology, Bay Radiology and Auckland Radiology is New Zealand’s leading radiology service provider, providing imaging, reporting and contract services within New Zealand.

**What we are looking for**:
As a Desktop Engineer within our technology operations team, you will be responsible for providing service and support across the RHCNZ Group. This will mean:

- Providing outstanding customer service across the business and acting as the face of technology for our people
- Contributing to the Technology Operations' team goal of continuous improvement and proactive support for the business and its systems
- The delivery of IT Services may be achieved by either direct (on-site) contact, remote support, or through our external support partners.

**What sort of things will you be doing?**

In this Desktop Engineer role, your typical workday will include:

- **On-site desktop support**: Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for staff.
- **Device management**: Assist with the deployment and management of devices using Intune.
- **IT collaboration**: Collaborate with IT teams to resolve issues and ensure the smooth operation of digital tools.
- **Service Desk support**: Help the Service Desk with resolving tickets when available.
- **Ticketing system monitoring**: Monitor the internal ticketing (ITSM) system to assist in supporting customers adhering to ITIL standards.
- **Preventative maintenance**: Perform preventative maintenance tasks on a variety of devices.
- **Network device support**: Support network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, WiFi controllers, etc.) via troubleshooting and collaborating with our networking team.
- **System administration support**: Provide support and maintenance through provisioning of accounts and permissions, system performance monitoring, upgrade management, and identifying areas for improvement.
- **Vendor Engagement**: Work with our partners to provide support on specialist functions and projects when required.

**What we need from you**:
On top of your passion for putting the customer first, you will need to have:

- A minimum of 2 years experience as a Systems Engineer
- Proficiency in various technologies, such as Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, cloud computing technologies like Microsoft 365 and Azure, and more
- Excellent analytical, organisational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- Ability to present ideas in business and user-friendly language
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- A positive "can-do" attitude
- Great teamwork skills and the ability to work well independently in a team setting
- Organisational skills, planning, and time management.

Ideally you will bring a level of experience and skills that will allow you to be immediately effective in a large organisation.

Whilst relevant tertiary qualifications, or IT industry certifications would be advantageous, we are looking for skills and an attitude that will be a great fit for our existing team, and translate well to supporting the people across the organisation.
