**About the role - Kōrero mō te tūranga**

To provide support and guidance to our domestic and international programmes that assist in operations development, training frameworks, standards and quality assurance, capability planning and asset management, volunteer coordination, delegate deployment, risk management, intelligence collection, contingency planning.

The Analyst Coordination and Planning role will have a portfolio of responsibility to be determined across the following areas:

- Analysis & Reporting
- Capability (People, Equipment, Training & Sustainability)
- Policy, Planning & Intel

In this role you will:

- Provide thought leadership in your specialist area of work (i.e. intelligence, capability management, logistics etc);
- Lead the continuous development and improvement of services in the EM&I Group;
- Data analysis of operational information, with a focus on data outside of contractual reporting requirements;
- Coordinate your work with others in the planning team to maximise collaboration and minimise duplication;
- Create standardised operational guidance on processes/training according to your portfolio;
- Produce written reports and insights for internal and external audiences;

- Undertake other duties as required to promote the efficient and effective running of EMI Group.

To be successful you will have:

- Knowledge of disaster and emergency management the National CDEM Plan and other related guidelines including CIMS;
- Understanding of disaster risk reduction;
- Understanding of, and a commitment to, Te Tiriti o Waitangi;
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience;
- Experience of working effectively in either disaster preparedness, response, or recovery;
