We are looking for a Data Analyst to be a part of the meaningful mahi we do at Family Planning.

This role offers opportunities to be innovative through the design and creation of solutions for the business, to drive data driven business decisions and support our achievement of equity and meeting our strategic goals

The Data Analyst is based in our Wellington National Office, reporting to our Finance Manager. This is a new position to signal our commitment to the importance of informative data to support business decisions.

This is a permanent and full-time role offering flexible working options, including up to two days per week working from home.


This is a unique opportunity for someone to come into the role and identify relevant data sources and design high quality reporting.

You will be working closely with Mangers to understand their priorities and support their decision making.

In this role you will be a highly valued team member with the ability to contribute across all levels at Family Planning.


We would love to consider you for the role if you have the following:

  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis.
  • Experience with data analysis tools.
  • Data analysis, mapping and modelling techniques.
  • Analytical techniques such as data mining.
  • Web analytics techniques and tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation principles.
  • Able to express complicated information in easily digestible formats.
  • Strong communication skills to support data users in their understanding of the data.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, NetSuite (FMIS), Zambion (Payroll), PowerBI & Indici (Patient Management System) would be beneficial but training is provided.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification.
  • 35 years' experience in a similar role.
