**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**

An opportunity has arisen to become part of the wonderful Onehunga/Oranga Hub team as a Libraries and Council Service Assistant. There are 2 permanent part-time positions available, and while based at Onehunga Library, flexibility is required to work across the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board Libraries as needed.

**The positions are both worked over 3 days**:

- 17 hours, working Friday - Sunday
- 20 hours, working Thursday - Saturday

You will be working within a library whānau that has a team culture strong pasifika and tikanga Māori, a place where everyone can feel they belong.

No two days are the same, you will greet and assist customers with a variety of queries from assisting customers to access library & council services, supporting with the delivery of programmes and events, digital troubleshooting, Wi-Fi, and general computer queries.Our library is open seven days a week so flexibility around working hours including weekend days is essential.

- Demonstrate an understanding of Te Ao Māori values and principles.
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Are flexible, reliable, and a supportive team member.
- Are confident expressing their ideas and show flair and creativity in their mahi.
- Get involved with events, programmes and activities.
