This position will provide leadership for the Partnership in Evaluation towards Recovery (PER) Team evaluations within Clinical Mental Health & Addictions Services. The role includes providing advice and guidance for the planning, provision and review of mental health services evaluation processes with support from the Clinical Quality & Risk Manager.

The PER team supports services through formal evaluations, to incorporate changes and improvements based on the concept of recovery. The team evaluates each of the mental health services as a whole team utilising a multi perspective approach and an inductive qualitative data collection process. The evaluations provide opportunities for identifying areas for service improvement as well highlighting strengths within mental health services and are aimed at improving the experience of care and the outcomes for people accessing mental health services.

The PER Team is based at Middlemore Hospital and is an integral part of supporting the continuous quality improvement within mental health services. This is a full time, permanent position reporting to the Clinical Quality & Risk Manager.

In order to ensure that evaluations are conducted in a timely fashion, you will be responsible for providing effective leadership, conducting and managing alternating service evaluations.

We are looking for an innovative and effective Lead Evaluator with great project management skills to guide results-oriented consumer led evaluations that will influence service development and improvement across Counties Manukau District - mental health services.

**Key responsibilities for this position**:
Lead specific PER service evaluations
Ensure PER undertake quality evaluations based on agreed standards and protocols in an efficient and effective manner within agreed timeframes
Support the other PER evaluators in evaluation techniques
Undertake interviews, facilitate focus groups and deliver presentations
Development of comprehensive evaluation reports

**Essential**:
Relevant Tertiary certificate or diploma
Personal experience of using public mental health services
Analysis and report writing skills
Evaluation experience in qualitative and quantitative methods
Current full, clean NZ drivers licence
