Senior Advisor, Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting

The Public Service Fale is looking for an experienced senior advisor to implement the Public Service Fale's MERL framework, including leading annual reporting requirements to key stakeholders. The Fale, which sits within Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission, is a regional centre of excellence that operates to support sixteen Public Service Commissioners in the Pacific to achieve their goals to strengthen public services for their citizens. The Fale provides support across a range of areas, including leadership development and HR, digital transformation, public sector strengthening and partner coordination. Understanding how our services are received and what impact they are having is a key enabling function of the Fale.
In this role you will partner with Fale staff, senior leaders working in the Pacific public service and other stakeholders such as MFAT to evaluate our support, analyse and author reports that tell our impact story. We are looking for someone who can:
- implement and lead the annual activities required against the Fale's MERL framework;
- support Fale staff to understand and deliver the evaluative inputs required for the Fale's annual evaluation plan;
- connect, engage, and influence senior leaders and teams across the Pacific; and
**To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who**:
- has a strong understanding of MERL frameworks and practice;
- has excellent relationship management and communication skills;
- is able to draft and author annual written impact reports to stakeholders;
- has experience in upskilling and motivating others to implement MERL requirements;
- has experience in international development and an interest and willingness to serve the peoples of the Pacific.
This is a fixed-term role ending December 2025.
This position usually pays between $106,296 to $129,471. Depending on skills and experience
