**ABOUT US / MŌ MĀTOU**

Ko Taku Reo Deaf Education operate two centres for the delivery of early childhood education. There is our preschool at our Auckland campus and an Early Years Whānau Centre at our campus in Christchurch.

At both centres we provide programmes that encourage language development and offer a place of support for parent and whānau; a caring and welcoming learning environment and time to form relationships, support each other and identify the resources to meet specific needs.

**THE ROLE / TE MAHI**

The Lead Teacher (ECE) is a specialised teacher, who delivers high quality education and service to learners who attend our pre-school at our Auckland Campus. As the Lead Teacher you are given a 0.1 release time a week to support this work. This role will work closely with the Preschool Lead and will report through to the Head of Early Years and Service Development.

The responsibilities of this role are as follows:

- EOTC compliance, paperwork and follow up
- Family and whānau events
- Safety Operating Procedures for vans and safety of vehicles
- Transport lists and communication with whānau
- Lead Support Staff meetings
- Health and Safety Officer - compliance with all Health and Safety ECE Regulations
- Associate teacher for visiting students
- Ordering/purchases curriculum and teaching resources
- Oversee all Internal Evaluations
- Support Policy and procedure reviews
- Any additional tasks as required
