The role

We are looking for an Integration expert to lead the development and maintenance of Integration solutions. This role will work with business units to develop and enhance integrations and APIs to be used by Fisher and Paykel. As the people leader you are responsible for 2-3 direct reports as well as project and support teams. You will help implement the new agile approach to software development and insure it is embedded within the organization.

Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an integration strategy aligned with the organization's business goals and objectives. This includes defining integration standards, best practices, and technology stack- Establish API governance policies and procedures to ensure consistency, security, and compliance across all APIs- Overseeing the design and development of well-documented, scalable APIs following industry standards like REST or GraphQL is essential for seamless integration between system- Evaluate and select integration tools, middleware, and third-party solutions that best suit the organization's needs. This may involve negotiating contracts with vendors- Work closely with architects to map data between systems and define data transformation rules to ensure seamless data flow- Ensure that all integrations and APIs adhere to security best practices and compliance regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or industry-specific standards- Keep track of integration-related costs, including licensing fees, infrastructure costs, and personnel expenses- Implementing monitoring mechanisms to track the performance of integrations and optimizing them based on performance metrics is crucial for continuous improvement.

About You

You will be a great communicator and collaborator. Building rapport and being an influencer are all key attributes.

You will be a people leader who has proven experience (7+ years) designing and executing complex integrations using programming languages e.g. C#, JavaScript. 7+ years of experience in developing APIs (REST & SOAP protocols).- Experience in building using Azure (functions, logic apps)-
- Knowledge of Major Software design patterns- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and its features (Repos, Pipelines)- Project Management of integration delivery- Have a strong understanding and hands-on experience in SCRUM and Agile engineering practices- Ability to mentor and coach other team members.
