**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The work of the Organisational Culture Development function is to enable the delivery of Te Pae Tata1 by bringing together all parts of the organisation to support ‘the system' to operate at its best, to develop the capability and agility of the workforce, and to help employees understand embed and deliver on Te Whatu Ora's vision, purpose, values, and priorities.
The primary focus of this role is as follows:
- To drive a kaimahi-led approach and human-centred design, ensuring that all P&C experiences at Te Whatu Ora are also examined through a Māori perspective.
- Conduct analysis to understand the kaimahi experiences with P&C policies, processes, and practices and to identify and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement human-centred processes that align with organisational values and principles, and te ao Māori.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives.
**Mōu | About you**
Oversee the development and implementation of Kaimahi Experience strategies, frameworks, programmes, and initiatives that align with Te Whatu Ora's objectives and values to:
Reflect the priorities of the Health Charter, Te Mauri o Rongo, help transform and change aspects of the organisation to support the transition to new ways of working and new and improved delivery of health services across Aotearoa in a planned, organisation-wide effort to increase the organisation's effectiveness.
Be an organisational leadership champion for kaimahi experiences, lead a team of professional experts that collectively provide guidance, insight and thought leadership in areas of expertise for this role. Ensure that relevant short and longer-term measures and management reporting underpins effectiveness monitoring of all strategies, frameworks, programmes, and initiatives led by this role.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Experience leading leaders and other senior staff, including building capability and lifting performance of a team/unit and creating a team culture in which people proactively try new approaches, learn, and develop and find ways to continuously improve in their area of expertise.
- Experience developing and implementing effective group/team strategies and work plans that deliver on organisational objectives.
- Senior leadership level experience and responsibility for managing CAPEX and OPEX budgets, forecasting, cost management, organisational risk, and compliance at either a function or business unit level.
- Can demonstrate they have given meaningful effect to the expectations outlined in Te Tiriti o Waitangi in their position(s)/at a leadership level. Previous responsibility at a leadership level for developing, maintaining, and influencing relationships and partnerships across sectors and organisations including with Māori and Pacific Peoples and groups.
- A relevant tertiary qualification or comparable experience working at a management level.
