**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
This is a key role responsible for leading local communications leaders and their teams, to support effective and responsive communications in localities/regions and to ensure collaboration with colleagues in central functions to have a joined-up view and understanding of priorities, needs and issues and how we deliver together to achieve results. Contribute to the management of issues to assist leaders in a way that communication and reputational risks are contained or mitigated

You will overses the delivery of effective and responsive communications support in localities/regions to help meet the needs of communities. Contributes to the Communications & Engagement Leadership team and its collective mission to build internal and external trust and confidence. Maintain a high performing and engaged team that delivers to deadlines
**Nga pūkenga me nga wheako | Skills and experience**
Comparable relevant experience with proven success with engaging and influencing diverse groups that demonstrates capability for this senior communications leadership role for Te Whatu Ora, along with an understanding of the public sector.
A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in a related area (PR, communications, journalism, marketing, commerce), or relevant workforce experience.
