An exciting National Sales role in a global business

You will manage existing customers and prospect new business opportunities selling predominantly into the Print, Packaging & Labels Industries among others.

**THE ROLE**
Selling technical bespoke product offerings into the industry, this role will utilize your ability to hunt new business, provide exceptional service and problem-solve.

Report directly to the Australian based senior leadership team, it requires an autonomous working style while working closely with your operations team in Auckland.
- Manage all existing accounts in a consultative style.
- Identify, prospect and close new business opportunities.
- Build multiple level relationships within each business.
- Educate and promote an understanding of the various techniques available to match your product offering.
- Advise clients on best-fit solution. Provide technical support to your clients across New Zealand.
- Work cohesively with the Australasian team to identify opportunities with businesses who are present across both NZ and Australia.
- Manage your own call plan to provide regular visits to each and every NZ client.
- Provide regular comprehensive reports using Excel and in agreement with the ANZ team, ensure inventory decisions are in-line with local demand.
- Being actively involved in networking and industry events.
- This is a nationwide role with 1-2 nights away per month and trips to Australia 3 - 4 times per year.

You will have an office and operational team based in central suburbs, but spend much of your time on the road face-to-face with prospects and clients.

The business works the hours of 7.30am-4pm (with additional for travel, events and entertaining when required).

**ABOUT YOU**
With an engaging personality, professional and transparent communication style, and proven sales experience in the industry, you are an expert in hunting new business and growing wallet share. You enjoy a competitive market where your tenacity, technical sales skills and ability to relate to all stakeholders, shines through.
- Solid sales experience from Print, Packaging, Labels **or **selling Equipment, Substrates or Consumables into this market.
- You genuinely enjoy solving problems on the production floor (with Printers and Operations staff) while also having the ability to sell at Executive / Board level.
- Comfortable with both large spend and small clients and dealing with multi-level relationships and multiple stakeholders across each business.
- Strong communication and presentation skills and excellent negotiation skills.
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of a complex ERP systems would be of advantage.
