Our Information Services Group (ISG) works hard to tautoko (support) our Canterbury Health System by providing digital solutions that enable improved health outcomes.

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Application Specialist to join our Information Services Group (ISG) team.

As an Application Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality ICT solutions and supporting the achievement of our business goals.

Your expertise and commitment to service excellence will make you an invaluable partner to our organization.

This is a permanent, full time role, based in central Christchurch.

You will be responsible for:

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the ISG to contribute to the successful delivery of services.
  • Collaborate with senior team members who will provide coaching, instruction, and guidance.
  • Review service quality and assist the Team Leader in generating metrics reports.
  • Provide services that exceed customer expectations by proactively anticipating their needs.

This role requires the following:

  • A relevant Level 7 Diploma is required with appropriate programming modules Relevant Microsoft Certification
  • 3 years experience in the IT industry with proven coding ability
  • Project experience with agile or Kanban methodologies
  • Experience working in a large organisation and/or in a pressured and everchanging environment
  • Knowledge of hybrid cloud solutions
