Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi - About the Role


The purpose of this position is to provide high quality administrative and coordination support to the broader People and Capability division, delivering efficient, timely services and employment correspondence to all of Ara's leaders and colleagues.

This role is service orientated and is responsible for providing an exceptional colleague service experience at all points of the employee life cycle, from recruitment to exit.

You will not only own the administration functions, but you will be involved in coordinating effective processes, programmes and initiatives and working with your P&C peers to continually improve the employee experience.


Reporting to the People & Capability Manager, along with your P&C Business Partner and Advisor peers, you will participate in P&C projects aimed at continually lifting the employee experience in a way that supports the Ara strategy and culture.


Ngā Pūkenga Me Ngā Wheako - Skills/Experience

  • 2+ years' experience in an Administrator/Coordinator position
  • Strong customer service focus and drive to meet expectations.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage delivery of multiple and conflicting priorities.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality, displaying discretion whenever necessary.
  • Highly skilled in using Microsoft Office tools, such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and other people related databases.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy when dealing with numbers, data entry and written communication
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
