Te Tari Taake 'Inland Revenue' plays a critical role in improving the economic and social wellbeing of Aotearoa 'New Zealand'.

Buying Operations is responsible for IR's Purchasing data integrity, managing the purchase agreements, monitors trends and reports on spend.

We strive to get the best public value from the money we spend on products, services and solutions for IR and the suppliers that provide them.

Mō te tūnga - About the role

As a Business Process Specialist for Buying Operations, you will work as part of a small team responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the policy, process and platform underpinning buying at Inland Revenue and the sourcing of products, services and solutions to get the best public value.


This is a role where you will:

  • support and strengthen buying processes across IR through effective business area portfolio management
- establish and maintain strong relationships with Requisition Community members to achieve business benefits
- provide Ātea support for our suppliers in using the Supplier Portal and maintaining supplier master data in Ātea
- manage and maintain the Ātea purchasing catalogues, including those for transactional and contracted items
- identify opportunities to improve buying efficiency through adding or amending suppliers/items.
