Clinical Resource Nurse

Permanent, 32 hours per week

Join our Inpatient Unit and Senior Nursing Team as a Clinical Resource Nurse.


As a Clinical Resource Nurse, you will join our senior nursing team to develop nursing and contribute to an inclusive, positive, and progressive culture.

You will partner with our Nurse Managers and Nurse Specialists to achieve excellent standards of care in a patient focused environment.

You will also work alongside the L&D and Quality teams to influence and enhance how care is delivered to enable patients and their whānau to live every moment.

The aims of the role are to optimize resource use, maximise flexibility in service delivery, address inequity and improve patient experience.

This position will provide high quality operational support to the Inpatient Unit team.

Using your excellent ability to connect and communicate, you will have a platform to mentor staff to feel empowered, educated, included, and valued.


We are seeking someone who has:

  • A post graduate qualification in nursing
  • Significant clinical nursing experience (preferably in palliative care, gerontology, or lifelimiting conditions)
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • A passion for nursing, and willingness to have a voice in issues that affect nursing
  • Knowledge or experience in advance care planning
