We are seeking an experienced Plastics nurse with an interest in cutaneous head and neck cancers and free flaps lower limbs to join our Plastics Service here at Waikato Hospital

  • As a successful Speciality Clinical Nurse you will play a key role in facilitating the patient and whanau journey for those presenting with complex skin cancers.
  • Day to day you will be providing specialist nursing care and expertise, both in direct and indirect care delivery to patients with complex skin cancer conditions; such as cutaneous head and neck cancers and those requiring free flaps, supporting their journey through the plastics service. Facilitating multidisciplinary meetings, providing expertise/education to clinical staff in managing the care of patients with complex skin conditions
  • This is a 0.9 to 1.0 FTE permanent position where you will work initially Monday to Friday

Mōu | About you

  • A proficient or expert Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years' experience ideally in Plastics
  • A current practicing certificate
  • Post graduate qualification or working towards
  • A strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently
  • Adaptability, flexibility and agility
