We are looking for a Project Financial Administrator to join us on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity leave.


In this role you will be part of a Project Team that ensures the smooth running of projects, while also working closely with our Discipline Directors to support the management of various project portfolios.

This role is packed full of variety and is responsible for providing financial project management support, and helping to deliver projects on time and within budget.


  • Partner with Project Directors and Project Managers to help review, update, and assess the performance of individual projects and project portfolios.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to process monthly invoicing, transfers, reallocations, and credit notes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Discipline Directors to actively manage project performance and identify opportunities to upskill the project teams.
  • Assist with financial acumen, understanding of accounting principles, and ensure compliance with system, policy, and process requirements.
  • Provide guidance regarding project profitability, tracking of spend vs budget, revenue recognition, variation requirements, and the analysis of financial reports and dashboards.
  • Support Project Managers and Directors with Accounts Receivable (Debt Collection) requirements.
  • Coordinate and participate in the project debrief and assist with continuous improvement processes.
  • Initiate and finalise project documentation, including contracts, contract variations, and letters of engagement.
  • Monitor and assist with the update of project and associated financial information e.g., Budget, Start/End Dates, project status, and maintaining relevant notes.
  • Set up of projects using T+T systems with detailed project information, ensuring risk assessments have been appropriately and accurately recorded.
  • Chair and minute project meetings (where applicable).
  • Manages the project programme alongside the project team and updates stakeholders on any changes in key deliverables.
  • Arrange appropriate filing of project documents and information using agreed company processes.

  • Strong administration skills, attention to detail, and time management.
  • A willingness to learn and share your knowledge with others.
  • A sound understanding of financial concepts and processes i.e. invoicing, debt collection, project planning, and budgeting
  • Familiar with accounting principles, and financial terms.
  • Previous experience in financial roles, and formal qualifications in Accounting and/or Project Management would be an advantage.
  • A proactive "cando" attitude coupled with good analytic problemsolving and scheduling skills
  • Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint experience would be advantageous, but not required.
  • Confidence to work in an environment that deals with a broad range of people across the organisation (ranging from senior managers to junior staff)
  • An outgoing team player, who is enthusiastic about the role and eager to have a positive influence on project outcomes.
  • Enjoys a fastpaced and busy work environment, comfortable working autonomously


This role is a great opportunity for those with past experience in Project Controls / Project Administration, or Accountants / Assistant Accountants who are interested in Project Accounting and management.
