As a Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in determining, implementing, monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating budgetary and accounting strategies, policies, and plans in consultation with other Managers.

You will provide crucial financial information, interpret its implications for business performance and funding needs, and coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of accounting systems.


Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Management:


Determine, implement, and regularly review budgetary and accounting strategies, policies, and plans in collaboration with other Managers to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, contributing to the overall business strategy and decision-making process.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:


Direct the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future earnings and income, to summarize and forecast the organization's financial position.

Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, providing insights for informed decision-making.

Capital Finance Assessment:


Assess capital finance proposals and evaluate the financial status of operational projects to ensure optimal allocation of resources and funding.

Advise on investment strategies, potential sources of funds, and the distribution of earnings to maximize returns and support sustainable growth.


Long-Term Financial Planning:
Deliver long-range profit forecasts, budgeting, and financial reporting, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to develop realistic and achievable financial goals.

Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with financial legislation, regulations, and industry standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and guidelines.
Implement effective risk management practices to mitigate financial risks and safeguard the organization's assets and reputation.

Stakeholder Communication:


Communicate financial performance, strategies, and recommendations effectively to senior management, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders, fostering transparency and trust.


Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency enhancement within the finance function, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor or higher degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA qualification preferred.
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably within the property development, investment or construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting software.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a track record of driving results and influencing decision-making.
Commitment to integrity, ethical conduct, and professional standards.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
