Korero mō te tūranga - About the roleWorking closely with the directorates Senior Executive Assistant (Snr EA) to ensure the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and their reports, business support functions and administrative responsibilities are dealt with in an efficient manner.
The Team Coordinator also actively collaborates and engages with colleagues both internally and externally. This pivotal role ensures the SLT, and wider team is well supported in their daily activities.The primary purpose of the role is to:
- Provide business support, administrative and secretarial support
- Imbeds procedures and supports to ensure the groups workflows are managed effectively.
- Coordinate with other Team Coordinators and executive support roles to best support the wider team
- Work collectively up and across the organisations business support team
- Ensure effective management of activities and operations of the directorate
- Coordinating all administrative matters and event management
This is a business support administration role and as such you will work alongside and be guided by the Senior EA and the management team on administrative matters As a role model, you will demonstrate manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga and rangatiratanga.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- 3+ years previous experience in a personal/executive or business support role
- Demonstrated experience in a medium to large complex organisation, or other government agency
- Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite with special emphasis on Outlook, SharePoint & Microsoft Teams
- Excellent organisational skills along with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities and meet deadlines whilst preserving the highest levels of accuracy and confidentiality
- Be a great team player with a great sense of humor and aroha
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the capacity to manage relationships at all levels, including with senior officials and with health sector leaders
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
- Experience in successfully developing and maintaining a structured approach to managing a wide range of stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
- Willingness to personally take a stand for equity and antiracism
