IT Programme Coordinator - Data and Information

Infrastructure and Digital Assets (IDA) provide a range of services to support the delivery of Corrections' core business and ensure we can maintain consistent service delivery.


The group comprises four key areas: Asset Management, Procurement, Public Private Partnerships and Digital. We have an exciting and transformational plan designed to modernise our infrastructure and technology platform, delivering life changing digital technology for the people we manage and our staff.
Mō te tūnga | About the role

The Digital team are currently looking for an IT Programme Coordinator to support the Data and Information Product team at Ara Poutama.

As Programme Coordinator you will provide efficient and effective administration, planning, and co-ordination to support the Manager, Data and Information and the Programme Manager in the delivery of a myriad of projects and BAU work packages.

Being organised and agile with excellent interpersonal skills will ensure your success in this role.

You are comfortable with a range of tasks including organising induction and onboarding of new staff, maintaining document management structures and systems, travel coordination and providing secretariat functions to specified projects.

Projects in this space range from minor to transformational, and support the delivery of enterprise business intelligence reporting, strategic Health projects and the delivery of infrastructure to ensure the safety and effectiveness of our data and information.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • 2 years of experience working with across IT projects in an administrative or coordination capacity in large and complex organisations,
  • Ability to produce high quality and accurate IT Project / Programme reporting and meeting minutes,
  • Ability to provide support with financial activities such as project forecasting, goods receipting and processing invoices for payment, creation, and maintenance of purchase orders,
  • SAP or similar financial system experienced preferred,
  • Highly organised and used to juggling multiple disparate tasks,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
