**About Your Responsibilities**

The Key Account Manager, NZ Unique Retailers is the interface between ELC and relevant Planning / Buying teams with Retailers to achieve net targets and key financial goals.

Reporting to the Key Account Manager - Department Stores, with a matrix line to the Country Manager, NZ. Provide effective communication and collaboration across internal brand / corporate functions and with external partners to maximise our joint business to its’ full potential, whilst developing and maintaining strong professional business relationships.

Ensures cross brand collaboration and upholds ELC Corporate view across Retailer group.

The Key Account Manager - Unique NZ Retailers will:
Manage NZ Sales and Business Relationships
- Forecasting and achievement of financial goals - delivering net budgets whilst driving profitability, working collaboratively with customers/retailers and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to deliver wholesale targets, keep net shipment plans updated based on trade and promotional activity.
- Ensure all financial trackers are updated within agreed timelines
- wholesale, discount rebates, returns.
- Overall responsibility for retailer collaboration with regards to their Open-to-Buy plans and cascading to relevant brand teams.
- Have full understanding on the store operations and activities of each retailer and work in conjunction with the retail teams to deliver dynamic net sales opportunities through driving Retail.
- Build collaborative relationships with retail partners and brand teams, working together to build and implement strong plans, with the ability to quickly identify relevant sales opportunities in order to achieve targets.
- Hold regular store visits with National Retail Manager to understand commercial and retail environment and seek feedback on challenges and successes, to build into future planning and develop new best practices.
- Work with Country Manager, NZ to assist Brand General Managers in developing distribution strategies in line with overall brand strategy.

Marketing Execution:

- Support promotional and NPD launch planning processes, working collaboratively with Brand Marketing and Demand Planning teams.
- Participate in presentations to retailers with ELC Brand Teams to launch and leverage new launches and growth opportunities.
- Stay up to date with brands marketing activity, as well as competitor marketing activity (for broader view of the market)

Business Analytics:

- Continually analyse wholesale and retail data to identify strengths and weaknesses and spot trends. Interpret and analyse data to develop a contingency plan for business-critical issues and re-prioritise in line with the changing needs of the business, in agreement with Brand General Manager
- Work with Lead Analyst to interpret data, analysing for decision making, reporting and presentations.

**Qualifications**
- 5+ years related experience in national sales capacity
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-reliant with the ability to make solid business decisions independently
- Ability to relate with different stakeholders and enjoys the fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Proactive in problem-solving and taking initiative to improve business
- Results Driven; Action Orientated
- Demonstrated experience negotiating outcomes with retail/business partners
- Embraces change and adapts to new Company initiatives/directions with flexibility
- Understands the Company/Brand’s Vision and seeks to work towards these at all times
- Documents and systematically follows up on all actions agreed with the retailer and internal colleagues
- Uses data available to keep up to date on performance and current business trends.
- Always thinks ahead to anticipate problems and possible issues
- Copes positively with setbacks and resistance, drawing up plans of action to counter these
- Remains calm and objective under pressure or in adversity
- Understand, monitor and communicate competitor activity and performance. Keep up to date on beauty industry trends and competitor landscape
