Our team has grown to a technically capable group of 15 engineers and we pride ourselves on offering a one-stop-shop for our clients.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer looking to take on leadership responsibilities. You will have the chance to grow and mould your own team and workload in the beautiful Bay of Islands, where we have a well-established workload. You will also be actively involved in the leadership of our business and be a key contributor to our technically challenging geotechnical projects both nationwide and internationally.

Our geotechnical projects include tunnelling, landslide mitigation and remediation, high-rise buildings and basement designs, government buildings and major landfill designs. You will be given the support and resources to develop yourself as a business leader in addition to the freedom to build a vibrant team culture in a business that founds its core values on sustainability, mental wellbeing and building strong relationships.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for candidates with:

  • Current chartered geotechnical engineering status or close to achieving
  • 10 years or more of post-graduate experience as a geotechnical engineer
  • Relevant engineering degree
  • An understanding of New Zealand engineering standards and regulation
  • Team leadership or mentoring experience with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience managing client expectations and project requirements, including quoting, invoicing and team budgets
  • A strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation and best practice, with a particular focus or experience in how this applies to our industry
  • A drive to deliver the best results for our clients
