Lead Mental Health Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Ward 9 C, Wakari Hospital. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical leadership and reliable medical input to ensure the highest quality care for our patients.
About the Role:
Job DescriptionAs a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating clients with a range of general adult mental health disorders, including youth, mothers and babies, and eating disorders. You will work closely with experienced clinical staff to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to service user and family/whānau inclusion in service delivery, as well as a focus on recovery and biculturalism. You will also possess a sound understanding of Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.

About You:
- Fellowship with the RANZCP or equivalent is essential.
- You must be eligible for registration with the NZ Medical Council and be based in NZ.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Salary: $185,380 - $267,980 per annum pro-rata.
